Welcome to the new site. I hope you love it. I sure do.

It wouldn’t have been possible if a great guy, Zach Riney, hadn’t helped me out. He has been working on this for me and is hosting it, too. So help me give him a warm thank you, if you need help, let me know and I’ll set up a way for you to meet, virtually.

Since I last sent out a blog I joined a workshop call “Write to Publish.” The whole premise is to take me from writing a short story, developing a network of other authors (some call it a cartel). Then launch it and publish it. I have written the two stories, each of which must be at least 750 words but not more than 3000 in length. Needless to say, I can get pretty wordy. So I have some editing to do on both before I decide which one I will use for this class. And I’d love for you, my friends and readers, to help me pick which one I should publish, formally.

It was a challenge to select what to write about. My first story is a look into what it was like to be a woman in the military. And some of two of the historic changes I saw in the policies regarding all women in the military.

I am posting this first story this week. Here on my website (https://www.kaosborne1.com).

I entitled it, “You’re in the Air Force Now…”. Here is a brief excerpt from it.

Looking back on those first few years in the Air Force as a young Airman First Class and ‘buck’ Sergeant, I remember all the changes that occurred for women in the military. If you’re willing, I’d like to share what it was like to be a Woman in the Air Force (WAF) during the Vietnam Era…

I hope you enjoy it and learn something about this era. Your feedback or comments are welcome.

I also wanted to update you on the progress I’m making on the trilogy Modrog Warriors–Bride for an Alien Prince.

We’re a third of the way through the copyediting, and it’s going faster than I had hoped. Once we’ve completed this editing, I’ll post some of it to read for those who have registered on my website, signed up for my newsletter, or are part of my Facebook Author page (www.facebook.com/groups/kathleen.osborne.author).

I know I am as anxious as you as have the finished product.
