It doesn’t matter what you do in life; you continue to learn, always learning. Having a teachable heart and spirit helps overcome those obstacles we encounter daily.
When one is a writer the things we write are constantly developing, so we are in a continuous state of learning. Our own characters tell us things we didn’t know before we started writing about them. lol
Because of the need to know things, I’ve started a new class and want to invite you to walk with me as I go through a class called “Write to Publish.”
During this course I will write two short stories, then taking one of them and working with it until it is ready for publication on a board spectrum.
And each short story must be at least 750 words, but no longer than 3000 words.
It was a challenge to select what to write about. My first story is a look into what it was like to be a woman in the military. And some of two of the historic changes I saw in the policies regarding all women in any branch of the military.
I am posting this first story this week. Here on my website (https://www.kaosborne1.com).
I entitled it, “You’re in the Air Force Now…”. Here is a short excerpt from it.
Looking back on those first few years in the Air Force as a young Airman First Class and ‘buck’ Sergeant,
I remember all the changes that occurred for women in the military.
If you’re willing, I’d like to share what it was like to be a Woman in the Air Force (WAF) during the Vietnam Era…
I hope you enjoy it and learn something about this time in history. Your feedback or comments are welcome.
I am making progress on the trilogy Modrog Warriors—Bride for an Alien Prince.
I am over a third of the way through the copyediting and it’s going faster than I had hoped. Once the editing is done. I’ll post some of it to read for those who have registered on my website, signed up for my newsletter, or are part of my Facebook Author page (www.facebook.com/groups/kathleen.osborne.author).
I know I am as anxious as you as have the finished product.
